Suttor died on 4 April 1915 at his Darling Point residence, survived by three sons and five daughters.
John Lindesay (died 1751) was the founder of the settlement of Cherry Valley, in Otsego County, New York.

Being inexperienced at farming, and with the French and Indian War at hand, Lindesay returned to the military and in 1744 was sent as a reinforcement to Fort Oswego on the western frontier.
On 3 June 1924, he married Kathleen Packman at St Mark's Anglican Church in Darling Point.
His grandfather was Sir James Riddell, first baronet of Ardnamurchan, Argyllshire.
Exhausted by his repeated business failures, Sandford retired to Darling Point in 1908, later moving to an orchard in Castle Hill and then Eastwood.
