Giovanni Battista Recchi was an Italian painter of the 17th century, a pupil of Pier Francesco Mazzucchelli, and brother of Giovanni Paolo Recchi.
He was born at Treviglio, and was the brother of Gioseffo Danedi, also a painter called il Montalto and also a pupil of the painter Pier Francesco Mazzucchelli (il Morazzone) while in Milan.
He was born in Riale d’Alagna, and was active mainly in Lombardy and Piedmont, including the Sacro Monte at Varallo Sesia, where he worked contemporaneously with Pier Francesco Mazzucchelli (il Morazzone).
