This limited-run serial is a remake of the 2003 Argentine telenovela Resistiré; it is the first such remake, as a second adaptation, Watch Over Me, was created for MyNetworkTV in the United States and debuted in December 2006.

Caitlin McCarthy (born 1989) is an American actress and producer, best known for playing Caroline Krieger, daughter of bio-terrorist Michael Krieger (Marc Menard) on the My Network TV telenovela Watch Over Me.
She has directed a number of plays, including The Busy Body, The Belle's Stratagem (nominated for the Evening Standard Best Director award in 2011), Someone Who'll Watch Over Me, The Rivals, Mad Kings and Englishmen, The School for Scandal, The Glass Tower, Palace of the End, Bedlam, Winter, Finding Alice, etc.
In addition to his roles in film and television, his resume includes numerous theatrical credits, with performances in plays both on and off Broadway, including: Ridiculous Fraud at the McCarter Theatre; Billy Budd at the Circle in the Square Theatre; Someone to Watch Over Me with the Denver Theatre Company; The Merchant of Venice on the Hartford Stage; and the national tour of The Lion in Winter.
