Blue Line – Library

The Blue Line – Library (formerly the 47L Library via Overbrook) is a line on the Pittsburgh Light Rail system that runs between Library and Downtown Pittsburgh via the Overbrook neighborhood.

It is part of a plan to introduce a parallel line to the busy Yellow Line corridor as well as provide quicker access to the Blue Line by connecting Mandi House and Central Secretariat.

Museo Rosenbach

Other possible inspirations for the name may have come from the eclectic collections of the Rosenbach Museum & Library in Philadelphia, PA or simply the poetic name "Rosenbach", which means "brook of roses" in German.

Nicollet Mall

The Blue Line light rail, opened in 2004, has a Nicollet Mall station, and connects downtown Minneapolis to the airport and the Mall of America in Bloomington.

Rail transport in the Twin Cities currently consists of Amtrak service between Chicago and Seattle, the METRO Blue Line light rail service running between downtown Minneapolis and the Mall of America, passing by the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport, and the Northstar Commuter Rail line between downtown Minneapolis and a number of northwest suburbs.
