The present Bishop is the Most Revd Datuk Bolly Lapok, who is the 13th Lord Bishop of Kuching since 1855, when the diocese was first created.

The current bishop, The Most Rev'd Datuk Bolly Lapok, 4th Archbishop of the Anglican Church in the Province of Southeast Asia and 13th Lord Bishop of the Diocese of Kuching, was consecrated 14 May 2007.

He started as a deacon on 22 September 1968 and a year later he was ordained a priest by the Diocese of Kuching’s first indigenous bishop, the Right Rev Datuk Basil Temenggong.
Cornwall served as Bishop, based in Kuching, for thirteen years until 1962, when this Diocese was again divided into the Diocese of Jesselton (later the Diocese of Sabah) which included Labuan, and the Diocese of Kuching which included Brunei.
