The benefice of Hambledon Church was originally in the Diocese of Winchester but is now part of the Diocese of Guildford.
The Church of the Good Shepherd was built as part of the Winklebury Centre and is part of the Church of England Diocese of Winchester.

The church, which has been designated a beacon church for the Winchester diocese, has links with Kware, a suburb of Nairobi in Kenya, via a hospital and school mission.
