Brigham Young, Jr. (9 December 1899—10 October 1901) : When Lorenzo Snow became President of the Church, the next senior Apostles, George Q. Cannon and Joseph F. Smith, were asked by Snow to be counselors in the First Presidency.
By the time Lorenzo Snow became Church president in 1898, the church was $2.3 million in debt.

Some years after becoming a member of the LDS church in 1830, he practiced plural marriage, taking Leonora Snow (the older sister of Lorenzo and Eliza R. Snow) and Hannah Blakesley (also found as Blaixly or Blakeslee) as his second and third wife in 1844 in Nauvoo, Illinois.
Young was the grandchild of two LDS Church presidents, Brigham Young and Lorenzo Snow.
Mantua was settled in the mid-19th century when future LDS President and then apostle and head church authority in Box Elder County Lorenzo Snow sent settlers to the valley to grow flax.
