George Trumbull Ladd

He was much influenced by the German philosopher Hermann Lotze, whose Outlines of Philosophy he translated (6 vols., 1877) and was one of the first to introduce (1879) the study of experimental psychology into America; the Yale psychological laboratory being founded by him.

Hermann Lotze

The latter was the unsystematized philosophy of general culture which we find in the work of the great writers of the classical period, Lessing, Winckelmann, Goethe, Schiller and Herder.


Margarita Morozova

Under his influence Morozova developed a strong interest in philosophy (Hermann Lotze, Immanuel Kant, Vladimir Solovyov, Shelling).
