Crewe North Junction signal box

Crewe North Junction signal box is signal box with a Westinghouse All Electric Style 'L' lever frame which was commissioned, along with Crewe South Junction signal box (which also had a Westinghouse Style 'L' frame), on 29 March 1940 as part of a resignalling project at Crewe railway station.

Florentine tower of Buire

The Tower of Florentine Buire, located in the commune of Buire in the Aisne department in Picardy in northern France, is a former signal box from a height of 50 metres.

Harringworth railway station

The former signal box which is a listed structure has been preserved by the Northampton & Lamport Railway and is currently stored at Pitsford and Brampton station.

Keith railway station

A signal box (which retains the name Keith Junction) remains at the eastern end to control a passing loop on the single track main line beyond the station, the now little-used goods yard (formerly used by trains accessing the nearby Chivas Regal whisky plant) and the stub of the Dufftown branch.

Broadmeadow railway station

The Australian Rail Track Corporation's Broadmeadow Centralised Traffic Control centre for the northern half of the state (including the standard gauge line to Acacia Ridge, Brisbane) is located just south of the station, as is RailCorp's Broadmeadow signal box which controls the area Broadmeadow to Eraring with a road overpass in between the two train control buildings and the station.

Cambus, Clackmannanshire

The Nobel siding (now ICIANZ) was closed in 1955, and in 1974 the line from Sunshine to Deer Park West Junction was duplicated, the current island platform provided, and the signal box closed as the line was now being worked by Centralised Traffic Control from Sunshine.

This method of operation and equipment, unique to this line, was originally used only through the two single line tunnels on this line, at Ledbury; and under the Malvern Hills between a former signal box at Colwall to the signal box at Malvern Wells.

The third signal box is currently out of use, and came from Bamford in the Hope Valley.

Toll End

It was opened in 1850 on the completion of the South Staffordshire Line between Stourbridge and Walsall, and for many years had a signal box which was typical of many which existed - and still exist - throughout the country.

When there is no signalman, all Signal Post Telephones are diverted to Medstead & Four Marks signal box.
