After matriculating from Bergvliet High School in 2004, he went on to receive a National Diploma in Coaching Science at ETA (Exercise Teachers Academy), as well as attending local and international conditioning courses such as XLR8 (NZ), Athletes' Performance (USA) and F-Marc FIFA 11+.

At the beginning of the 2007/2008 season, he was employed as the Youth and PSL Fitness Trainer under then Head Coach, Craig Rosslee.

He is currently working with Ajax Cape Town in his 4th season, under Head Coach Foppe de Haan.
