Hyderabadi cuisine is an integral part of the cuisines of the former Hyderabad State that includes the regions of Telengana (now in Andhra Pradesh), Marathwada (now in Maharashtra) and Hyderabad-Karanataka (now in Karnataka).

The Nizams patronise the Hyderabadi cuisine, which is very much like the Nawabs of the Avadh and Lucknowi cuisine.
